Enter your ZIP code to check cellular signal availability
Great news! Strong cellular coverage is available in ZIP code . Alertor monitoring will work reliably at your location.
Both AT&T LTE and Verizon LTE networks provide coverage in your area, ensuring a dependable connection to our central monitoring station.
ZIP code shows limited cellular coverage. Monitoring may still be possible depending on your exact location and property conditions.
We recommend calling our team so we can evaluate your specific situation and recommend the best communicator module for your area.
Please enter a valid 5-digit US ZIP code and try again.

Why Cellular Monitoring Matters
Cellular is the gold standard for alarm communication. Here is why Alertor uses cellular-only connections for all monitoring.
Tamper-Proof Connection
Cellular signals travel wirelessly to cell towers. An intruder cannot cut a cable or disable your internet to prevent an alarm signal from reaching the monitoring center.
Independent of Internet
Your alarm system works even during broadband outages. Cellular operates on its own network, so a router failure or ISP outage does not affect your security monitoring.
Fast Signal Delivery
LTE cellular delivers alarm signals to the central station in seconds, often faster than traditional phone-line communicators. Speed matters during an emergency.

Coverage FAQ
Common questions about cellular coverage and alarm monitoring.
Modern alarm systems use cellular networks to communicate with the central monitoring station. Unlike landlines or broadband, a cellular connection cannot be cut by an intruder, making it the most secure and reliable method for transmitting alarm signals. When your alarm trips, the panel sends a cellular signal directly to the monitoring center, which then dispatches emergency services.
Alertor panels communicate over major LTE networks, primarily AT&T and Verizon, through the Alarm.com platform. The communicator module in your panel determines which network is used. We help match the right communicator to the strongest network in your area during the ordering process.
If your area shows limited coverage, contact our support team at 743-253-7867. We may be able to recommend a cellular signal booster or a communicator that uses a different carrier with better signal in your specific location. Many rural areas that show as “limited” still have sufficient signal for alarm communication, which requires much less bandwidth than a phone call.
Yes. Cellular is the industry standard for alarm communication because it operates independently of your home internet and phone lines. A landline can be physically cut, and Wi-Fi depends on your internet service staying online. Cellular signals go directly to cell towers, and your alarm panel includes a battery backup that keeps it running during power outages. This makes cellular the most reliable option available.
The ZIP code check provides a general indication of coverage in your area. Actual signal strength can vary based on building materials (concrete, metal roofing), distance from the nearest cell tower, and terrain. If you have concerns about signal quality at your specific address, our team can perform a more detailed assessment. In most cases, if standard cell phone service works at your location, alarm monitoring will work as well.
No. Your alarm panel has its own built-in cellular communicator with its own SIM card. Cellular service for your alarm system is included in your Alertor monitoring plan. It does not use your personal cell phone plan, home Wi-Fi, or any other connection. It is a dedicated, always-on cellular link specifically for your security system.
