From the home screen, swipe down from the top to open the drop-down menu.

2

Tap Settings, then tap Advanced Settings.

The IMEI is printed on a sticker on the cellular communicator module inside the panel enclosure.

2

Open the panel enclosure and locate the TL280 or TL880 communicator.

The 15-digit IMEI is on the label affixed to the module. You can also find it via the keypad under Section 900 using the installer code.

Open the panel enclosure and locate the cell radio module (often a small daughter board).

2

The IMEI is printed on a sticker on the module itself.

Honeywell (Vista 20P, Vista 15P, Vista 21iP)
1

Open the panel metal enclosure and locate the VISTA-GSM4G or iGSMV4G cellular communicator.

The IMEI is on a sticker affixed to the communicator module.

3

Not sure which panel you have?
1

Look for a brand name or model number printed on the front of your touchscreen panel or on the keypad.

2

If you have a metal enclosure with a separate keypad (typical of Honeywell Vista or DSC), the brand is usually on a label inside the enclosure door.

Compatibility FAQ

What is an IMEI and why do I need it?
The IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) is a unique 15-digit identifier for the cellular communication module in your alarm panel. We use it to verify that your panel can communicate with the Alarm.com network that powers Alertor monitoring. Every cellular-enabled panel has one, and it is required to activate monitoring service.
What if my panel does not have a cellular module?
Many older panels communicate via phone line (POTS) and may not have a cellular module installed. In most cases, a compatible cellular communicator can be added to your existing panel. Call us at 743-253-7867 and we can advise on the right communicator for your system and help you get set up.
What does “already registered” mean?
If the check returns “already registered,” it means the cellular module is currently active with another monitoring provider (such as ADT, Vivint, or another Alarm.com dealer). You will need to contact your current provider to release or deactivate the account before we can activate it with Alertor. We can guide you through this process — call us at 743-253-7867.
Is the compatibility check free?
Yes. The IMEI compatibility check is completely free and takes just a few seconds. There is no obligation to purchase a plan. We simply verify whether your equipment can work with Alertor monitoring.
My panel is compatible. What happens next?
Once compatibility is confirmed, you can choose a self-service monitoring plan starting at $14.99/month. After selecting your plan, you will complete a short activation form with your contact and address details. We will set up your Alarm.com account, and you will receive login credentials to the Alarm.com app. The entire process takes just a few minutes. View plans.
Can I check compatibility for multiple panels?
Yes. You can check as many IMEI numbers as you need. Simply enter a new IMEI number in the field above and run the check again. Each check is independent and free.
What monitoring plans are available?
Alertor offers self-service monitoring plans starting at $14.99/month (Alert) for basic monitoring, up to $28.99/month (Watch+) for the full package with automation, video, and analytics. All plans include 24/7 professional monitoring and the Alarm.com app. No contracts — cancel anytime. Compare all plans.
Do I need to be at home to check compatibility?
No. If you already have your IMEI number, you can check compatibility from anywhere. However, you will need physical access to your panel to locate the IMEI if you do not already have it recorded.
